Key Data Presented at the 2023 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology

Numerous experts from Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey and RWJBarnabas Health presented key data on several types of cancer including lymphoma, colorectal, breast and pediatric at the recent 2023 Annual Meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the largest international gathering of oncologists. New Data on Treating Lymphoma during Pregnancy

Receiving a lymphoma diagnosis during pregnancy is uncommon but occurs for roughly one in 4000 women. A new study led by Andrew Evens, DO, MBA, MSc, associate director for clinical services at Rutgers Cancer Institute, system director of medical oncology and oncology lead at RWJBarnabas Health, and professor of medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, revealed that patients with relapsed/refractory lymphoma during pregnancy experienced a progression-free survival rate of 24 percent and an overall survival rate of 83 percent.
